Architecture & Design Pathway

INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY | This course is design to instruct students in the basic skills necessary to all occupations in construction areas.

COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING I | In the course, the student will be introduced to industry practices and apply them in developing design plans and working drawings.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN | This class builds on the drafting concepts from CAD and introduces students to Architectural Design, project management & team collaboration.

COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURING | This advanced course will introduce students to additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques. Students will learn 3D modeling software and 3D printing methods and materials.

RESEARCH & DESIGN FOR PRE-CONSTRUCTION | In this advanced course, students will further research, explore, apply and design concepts in Architectural Design with an emphasis in “green design” concepts.

 

 

Cabinetmaking & Furniture Design Pathway

INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY | This course is design to instruct students in the basic skills necessary to all occupations in construction areas.

CABINETMAKING & FURNITURE DESIGN I | The primary emphasis of this course is on tool and machine safety and basic woorkworking fundamentals.

This course requires students to furnish P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment), which includes a minimum of safety glasses, protective footwear and coveralls (or other protective clothing approved by the instructor).

CABINETMAKING & FURNITURE DESIGN II | In this course, students are responible for constructing all cabinetry utilized within the house constructed by Residential Carpentry course.

 

Construction Pathway

INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY | This course is design to instruct students in the basic skills necessary to all occupations in construction areas.

RESIDENTAL CARPENTRY 1 | This course includes basic planning, designing, estimating and execution of smaller construction prjects at the school site.

RESIDENTAL CARPENTRY 2 | Through this course, studnets will develop technical skills through actual hands on experience in the construction of various structures, from designing and estimating through completition.

RESEARCH & DESIGN BUILDING TRADES | An advanced research and application course covering specific topics in building construction including management and “green building” skills.

BUILDING TRADES | This is a comprehensive course deigned to instruct studnets in skills pertaining to rough construction and finish work.
