INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS | This course is designed to give students an overview of the business, marketing and finance career cluster occupations.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP | Entrepreneurship courses acquaint students with the knowledge and skills necessary to own and operate their own businesses.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT | This course acquaints students with management opportunities and effective human relations. The course also provides students with the skills to perform planning, staffing, financing, and controlling functions within a business.
BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS | This course helps students to develop an understanding and appreciation for effective communication in business situations and environments.
BUSINESS LAW | This course emphasizes business and consumer applications within the frameworks of federal, state, and local laws.
ACCOUNTING | This course introduces and expands upon the fundamental accounting principles and procedures used in businesses.
YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS | In this capstone course, applied business development students will practice skills of planning, organizing, directing and controlling functions of operating a business while assuming the responsibilities and risks involved.
Marketing Pathway
INTRODUCTION TO MARKETING | This course develops student understanding and skills in such areas as channel management, marketing-infomation management, market planning, pricing, product/service management, promotion and selling.
DIGITAL MARKETING AND ADVERTISING | This course introduces students to the fast-paced world of online buisness, where creativity meets strategy. Explore how your favorite brands, influencers and apps grab attention online while learning how companies use social media, ads and digital tools to connect with customers, build strong brands and launch creative campaigns.
MARKETING INTERNSHIP | This course provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable industry experience and apply their knowledge of marketing practices while working under the direction of an approved industry professional and marketing instructor.
DEMON APPAREL I & II | Students will run Demon Apparel, a student-run t-shirt business. Students will gain hands-on experience in accounting, market research, promotion, planning, management, sales, design and production.
